Genesis is an offline-first idle game. It has no accounts, no login, and no server of mine anywhere. This policy describes the whole of what the app does with data, and it is written against what the shipped build actually does rather than against what a game of this kind might conceivably do.
There is no sign-up and no profile. The app does not ask for, receive, or transmit:
The app requests exactly one Android permission beyond internet access: the advertising identifier, used only for ads (below).
Your progress is saved on your device. Genesis has no server of mine, anywhere.
Cloud save is optional and off by default. If you choose to turn it on, Genesis links to your Google Play Games account and keeps a copy of your save in your own Google Drive, in the private per-app area Google reserves for this game.
That copy belongs to your Google account, not to me. I cannot read it, change it, or delete it, and it never passes through any system of mine. If you sign in on a new device and a saved game is found, Genesis offers to restore it and tells you plainly that doing so replaces the progress on that device — nothing is overwritten without you choosing it.
Deleting it. Because it is in your account, you remove it yourself and do not need to ask me: the Google Play Games app → Settings → delete your Play Games data for this game, or Google Drive → Settings → Manage apps. Full steps on Delete your data.
Separately, Android's own backup service may copy the app's data to your Google Drive. That copy is also governed by your device settings rather than by me, and I have no access to it. You can turn it off in Android Settings → Google → Backup.
Genesis shows ads through Google AdMob. Rewarded ads are always player-initiated; interstitial ads appear at certain points unless ads have been removed by purchase.
For this, Google receives:
I do not receive any of this. I see only aggregate, anonymous earnings and impression counts. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Google's advertising terms.
Google may share bid requests with third-party advertising partners who bid to fill an impression. Those partners are listed by Google and may change over time.
You can limit this. On Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can reset your advertising ID or delete it entirely. Deleting it does not stop ads; it stops them being personalised. Purchasing Remove Ads stops them entirely.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent choice before personalised ads are served, and you may change or withdraw it at any time.
Genesis offers one optional one-time purchase, Remove Ads.
Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. I never see your card details, billing address or any payment instrument.
To know whether you own the purchase — including after reinstalling or changing device — the app uses RevenueCat, which receives:

Genesis is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect any data from them. The app is rated for a general audience but is not enrolled in Google Play's Designed for Families programme.

If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above changes with it and the revised policy is published at the same address before the change takes effect.
